Are you passionate about data revolution and digitalization? You now have the opportunity to get involved in the construction industry, one of the less digitalized industries, with lots of potential for improving and making an impact.

We are a cost engineering firm specialized in Construction projects, trying to make an impact in the industry by digitalizing all cost aspects of construction projects (5D - BIM).

To do so, we have focused our efforts on standardizing and data collection as a first stage, and data management and automating processes to come.

Following many years working as cost professionals in the construction industry we have a keen focus on what the client needs when it comes to cost and cost reporting. Our standardised approach allows us to see construction projects in a certain methodical way. This, along with the evolution in digitisation, has brought us to the conclusion that we need a more automated and digitised approach to how we report construction costs to our clients and how we collect cost information/data. From these needs and experiences the idea for "THE FIFTH DIMENSION" was born.

The5d is a brand-new software company with the backing of an established company in the construction industry.

About the role

The role is a 100% remote, long-term contracting role.37-40 hours a week on averageFlexible working hours but general availability during CET office hours.

We are looking for a Django developer that has strong SCSS/CSS/JS skills and is fluent in English. Initially the role would be to implement designs to create a beautiful modern interface.

The kind of things you will be exposed to (if you're interested):

  • Python and Django
  • Good development practices and procedures
  • CI/CD
  • Unit testing and integration testing
  • Server or Cloud management
  • Code reviews
Requirements
  • Be able to work 37-40 hours a week (Flexible is fine).
  • You are not working for other clients
  • Available during the CET time zone Office Hours
  • Experience in Django
  • Stable, good quality internet access suitable for video conferencing and sharing screen.
  • A relatively quiet area to take meetings.
  • Possibility to work under freelance contract.

20 min phone conversation with the lead developer to talk about your interest in development and the tech you are most comfortable with and a small bit about the5d.

2nd Stage: Video Interview

45 min video interview - Tell the team about yourself, discuss some tech topics, learn about the5d and the team.
