Overview

The role supports the OTC/HTV Pricing Team, a global group responsible for portfolio pricing and Independent Price Verification of listed, OTC and HTV products. This role provides an opportunity to work closely with a wide range of asset classes traded by hedge funds.

About The Team & Business Line

We are building a team focused on pricing and valuation in a growing industry, with emphasis on learning and technology to support high-quality client delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Analyse and compare listed and OTC position valuations. Work with clients on resolving price challenges, answering valuation questions
  • Run OTC pricing models to independently value derivatives held by our hedge fund clients
  • Involvement in testing new internally developed pricing models and system enhancements
  • Ability to understand current financial models in use
  • Improve pricing processes and infrastructure
  • Liaise with other internal functional teams to resolve valuation issues
  • Assist other teams with OTC instrument queries
  • Understand the basics of industry/accounting guidance (e.g. FAS157) and assist with incorporation into pricing processes
  • Review of client Level 3 asset valuations and methodologies
  • Researching markets, conventions and reporting standards
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Service levels
  • Clients' portfolios priced and assessed on a timely basis
  • Develop and evolve pricing capabilities within the team
QualificationsAbout You
  • Degree Qualified (2.1 and above) in Engineering/Math/Physics/Finance/Economics
  • CFA, MBA, Master in Finance (or part thereof) or similar designations a plus
  • Ideally 1-2 yrs experience in a related role (e.g. Derivative valuation, Risk Management, P&L reporting, financial engineering, OTC Trading) but not essential
  • Should have a keen interest in learning about financial instruments, markets, derivatives valuation, financial engineering, risk management.
  • Strong in excel, with an interest in learning Excel VBA, SQL
  • Programming experience beneficial
