AVK-SEG Ltd is at the forefront of critical power systems and maintenance solutions, urgently seeking a skilled Mechanical Project Engineer to bolster our project delivery team in Dublin, Ireland. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful implementation of mechanical projects that are crucial for the delivery of large-scale energy systems, specifically involving diesel and gas generators serving multiple data centres.

Your responsibilities will include managing comprehensive mechanical engineering projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and delivering solutions that meet the rigorous requirements of our clients. Your expertise will guide the design and execution of mechanical systems, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee mechanical project delivery from conception through to completion, ensuring projects are finished on time and within budget.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and requirements.
  • Create and review detailed mechanical designs, employing advanced CAD tools.
  • Conduct regular inspections and testing to evaluate project compliance with specifications and safety standards.
  • Maintain thorough documentation throughout the project lifecycle, including reports, methodologies, and risk assessments.
  • Engage with clients through regular communication and updates, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
  • Participate in site evaluations and pre-commissioning activities.

To excel in this role, the ideal candidate will have:

  • A relevant degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in mechanical project engineering, preferably within the power or energy sector.
  • Advanced proficiency in CAD software for design and modeling.
  • Exceptional project management skills, with a track record of managing multiple concurrent projects.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, combined with practical problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective engagement with teams and clients.
  • A dedication to continuous improvement and a drive to enhance technical expertise.
