A respected insurance broker with a nationwide footprint, known for delivering tailored solutions to both SME and large corporate clients. With strong growth ambitions and a focus on long-term partnerships, they are now looking for a dynamic Business Development Manager to drive expansion in the corporate insurance space.
Your new roleIn this senior role, you will set the strategy and lead the charge in winning and developing high-value B2B insurance relationships. You will:
- Design and deliver a business development plan targeting corporate and enterprise-level clients.
- Identify new opportunities both within untapped markets and through cross-selling to existing clients.
- Build and manage a results-driven sales team, providing clear direction and measurable goals.
- Work closely with marketing, operations, and senior management to create bespoke client solutions.
- Keep ahead of market trends and competitor activity, adapting your approach to stay competitive.
- Lead onboarding, training, and mentoring initiatives to ensure team capability and consistent performance.
- Qualifications: APA Commercial General Insurance (essential); CIP preferred or working towards.
- Solid knowledge of general insurance products, including fleet, property, and liability.
- A proven track record in winning and growing corporate or enterprise-level accounts.
- Experience leading high-performing sales teams in a target-driven environment.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to turn market insight into action.
- Strong relationship-building skills with senior decision-makers.
- Leadership style that inspires, coaches, and develops others.
