On behalf of an international Renewables firm in Dublin, we are looking to hire a Senior Group Accountant.
We are seeking a technically strong Group Accountant to join the central finance function, playing a key role in technical accounting, group reporting, and driving improvements across processes, systems, and controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver monthly Group reporting (statutory and management).
- Prepare and review consolidated financial statements under FRS 102 and other relevant standards.
- Partner with the Audit function to improve audit outputs and support audit readiness.
- Manage intercompany reconciliations, recharges, and financial instruments (e.g. derivatives).
- Collaborate with consultants and stakeholders to implement process and control improvements.
- Support effective use of Accounts IQ and assist with related system integration.
- Help prepare for ESG reporting and contribute to sustainability disclosures.
- Assist with tax and treasury matters including potential SPV setup.
- Drive efficiencies in month-end close (goal to shorten from 7 to 5 days)
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA) with strong technical accounting expertise.
- Solid grounding in FRS 102, IFRS, or UK GAAP.
- Experience with consolidation, group reporting, and audit processes.
- Solutions-driven and process-improvement mindset.
- Exposure to derivatives, financial instruments, or treasury a plus (not essential).
- Interest or experience in ESG reporting a bonus.
