Group Senior Management Accountant

Responsibilities

Production of monthly management accounts to include production of clean balance sheet with full set of reviewed balance sheet reconciliations and departmental P&Ls by HO function.
Entity P&Ls due to group finance on WD5
Departmental P&Ls due to Heads of department on WD6
Balance sheet analysis and reconciliations due on WD7
Monthly analysis andmentary of P&L by department, region, hub and project for review by department Directors. Variance analysis to include month on month (MoM), year on year (YoY) and versus budget/forecast. Preparation of monthly "exceptional" cost reclass for HO entities
Deputy Business partner for HO cost centers to include planning, cost reviews and recharge policies.
Timely preparation and review of full suite of balance sheet reconciliations with minimal unreconciled or aged transactions
External loan balances reconciled monthly with balances formally agreed with bank and Investor lenders annually. Monthly interest accruals in line with terms of senior facility agreement and interest SWAP.pliance with IFRS9 when accounting for transaction costs.
Maintain register of lenders for each facility and assist with obtaining WHT clearance for foreign lenders. Reconcile WHT control account and ensure that tax is transferred to HMRC accordingly.
Review monthly group recharges and accurate processing of group loan transactions relating to shares or tax. Ensurepliant with group transfer pricing policies for management services and other recharges.
Implement flex benefit accounting, invoicing and reconciliations to ensure uniformity of approach and treatment in P&L and balance sheet across group wide.
Review of group loans for recoverability and provisions under IFRS9 (ECL) and lead bi-annual dividends procedures inpliance with local regulations
Monthly review of investment costs and assessment of impact of changes to legal structure.
VAT return for HO VAT group, submission via Xero (MTD), reconciliation of control accounts and transfer of funds to clear down balances in VAT group.
Prepared deliverables for HO tax advisors in line with annualpliance calendar - first port of call with external advisors for queries on costs or balance sheet items that may be tax sensitive.
Review of groupwide tax packs prepared by FCs to understand and implement group relief adjustments at year end.
HO finance processes and procedures to be developed and documented
Holiday cover for Senior Management accountant - to include calculation of interpany recharges and month end reconciliations and management accounting.
Other tasks and projects as directed by Group Finance Manager

Key Requirements
Professional accounting qualification with strong record of academic achievement at degree level and prior.
3 years minimum industry experience with extra credit given for previous exposure to highly acquisitive businesses, Private equity funded business, professional services and business partnering.
Excellentmunication skills required for dealing with both internal and external stakeholders - confidence handlingplex issues at Director and FC level.
Proven ability to develop internal processes and procedures.
Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize and organize workload accordingly
