Stores Person/Warehouse Operative - Sandyford

Heat Merchants Group trades in 42 outlets around Ireland as Heat Merchants and Tubs & Tiles. The group has 30 Heat Merchants branches and 12 Tubs & Tiles showrooms supported by a central warehouse and distribution hub based in Athlone.

Heat Merchants and Tubs & Tiles in Sandyford currently require a Stores Person/Warehouse Operative for their shared stores area/warehouse.

OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB

You will primarily be responsible for looking after the stores area of the branch, unloading deliveries and putting away stock, updating paperwork on the system to accurately record stock, whilst also maintaining a good standard of housekeeping of the stores area. You will also assist with sales enquiries/transactions and maintaining high standards of customer care within the branch from time to time.

JOB SPECIFICATION

  • Unloading deliveries and putting away stock into its correct location
  • Booking in stock on CORE ERP system, reporting any damages in a timely fashion and organising return to Central Warehouse when required.
  • Understand customer's expectations and needs
  • Keep customers updated on orders and deliveries
  • Monitor customer orders and deliveries
  • Taking ownership of resolving order and delivery issues.
  • Handling interactions with Trade Customers
  • Assist with sales enquiries as and when required
  • Resolve order and delivery issues, and take responsibility
  • Adhere to Company policies and procedures
  • Any other duties as reasonably requested by Management

Person Specification

  • Experience of working in a stores/warehouse area in a customer-focused environment
  • Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills
  • Enthusiastic & innovative approach to work
  • Must be extremely customer-focused and results-driven
  • Hold a current forklift licence
  • ERP system experience
