We are looking for a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team. The Data Center Engineering Operations Technician is a hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting and operation responder. If you like to use your electrical and mechanical skills to solve problems, we'd like to meet you. Your work will help to maintain one of the world's largest information system infrastructures.
Key job responsibilities- SAFETY Follow and maintain the highest safety standards and diligently encourage a world-class safety culture. As a facility owner team, ensure remediation of safety risks/issues in conjunction with other teams. Own the safety initiatives and projects to foster a strong safety culture.
- ENGINEERING & FACILITY OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE Operational experience and familiarity with electrical and mechanical equipment, including Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS's), switchgear, circuit breakers, Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS's), Diesel Generators, Chillers, Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC), Exhaust Fans, Variable Frequency Drives (VFD's), and Transformers.
- Troubleshoot events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLA's).
- Take daily operational readings of all mechanical and electrical equipment through routine rounds/log-taking (temperatures, voltages, currents, etc.).
- Supervise contractor or Engineering Operations Technicians to ensure proper operation and maintenance of all facility equipment.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts on infrastructure through standardization of procedures and policies, while delivering performance against agreed metrics.
- Provide training and guidance to Engineering Operations Technicians and assist in recruiting efforts.
- Lead the root cause analysis for operational issues and conduct meetings with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to finalize mitigation strategies.
- Manual handling and lifting of equipment may be required (weight limits in accordance with regulations).
- Ability to work shifts (morning, late and night).
- On-call rotation to respond to off-duty emergency calls.
- Work at heights and from ladders; in a noisy environment with ear protection.
- Perform physical tasks during the shift.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS· Apprentice/trades certified or diploma in an Electrical field
· Demonstrate key electrical competencies (Practice & Theory)
Knowledge of mechanical systems (Mechanical, HVAC systems, Controls)
Good English
3+ years of experience in operations and on-call support for Data Center facilities or Mission Critical Plants/Production facilities
· An undergraduate degree in a technical field (EE, MechE, IndustrialE);
· Project Management experience.
Willing to travel between Data center sites, and internationally if required
· Solid IT skills; experience and knowledge of MS Office suite.
