The Challenge

We're looking for a motivated AI Engineer to join our team and contribute to transforming traditional compliance processes into innovative, AI-powered systems.
Overall Responsibility
As an AI Engineer, you will apply cutting-edge AI technologies to address practical compliance challenges. You'll work within a collaborative team dedicated to developing AI-powered solutions that help global enterprises understand, manage, and automate their compliance processes across various markets and jurisdictions.
Core Responsibilities:
Product Development & Innovation:
- Contribute to identifying and implementing opportunities where AI can create value for our customers in their compliance journey.
- Assist in the design and development of production-grade AI solutions that automate compliance tasks.
- Develop and optimize NLP models for regulatory document analysis and interpretation.
- Contribute to the framing of compliance challenges as machine learning problems.
- Support the creation of scalable AI systems that can handle diverse regulatory requirements.
- Help take algorithms from proof-of-concept to production, focusing on robustness and maintainability.
- Contribute to establishing processes for data analysis, model development, validation, and deployment.
- Support the building and maintenance of ML infrastructure.
- Assist in implementing monitoring systems to track model performance.
- Learn and apply best practices for explainability and ethical considerations in AI solutions.
- Work closely with product managers and compliance experts to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate AI capabilities into our core platform.
- Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing.
- Participate in technical discussions and problem-solving.
- 2 - 5 years of hands-on experience in production environments, with a track record of contributing to distributed systems.
- Proficient in Python with experience in developing and deploying software, utilizing machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.
- Foundational understanding of engineering and infrastructure best practices with a focus on the machine learning software development lifecycle.
- Experience working with modern deep learning techniques, LLMs, and NLP architectures, particularly in building data-intensive applications.
- Hands-on experience in developing and managing batch and real-time ML pipelines/workflows for processing complex data on AWS, utilizing services like SageMaker, ECS, EKS, or Airflow.
- Some working knowledge on building, fine-tuning, and optimizing Large Language Models (LLMs), transformer architectures, and advanced NLP systems, leveraging frameworks like Hugging Face Transformers and OpenAI API/SDKs
- Proficiency in designing, iterating, and optimizing prompts for large language models to ensure reliable, structured, and contextually accurate outputs across different tasks and model providers.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within engineering teams and across various disciplines.
- Experience implementing observability practices for large language model workflows, including tracing, token usage monitoring, structured output validation, and performance/debugging tools such as LangSmith or equivalent.
- Run structured evaluations using tools like LangSmith, Evals, or custom frameworks.
- Analyze precision/recall, hallucination rates, response consistency.
- Develop test cases for key use cases (e.g., regulation matching, summarization, Q&A, etc.).
