Role overview:

As we experience significant growth, we are expanding our team and seeking a dedicated Project Manager to support our installation division. This role involves regular site attendance throughout project lifecycles, overseeing work quality, site operatives' performance, and ensuring safety standards. Regular meetings with main contractors are essential. The role also includes limited time at our head office to collaborate with key team members.

Projects range from domestic upgrades to large-scale commercial, residential, and educational developments. The position contributes to the business's commercial, financial, and profitable performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Attend weekly Zoom meetings to report progress and staffing issues.
  • Oversee site progress and monitor output across all ongoing works.
  • Track and report wastage, develop waste reduction strategies, and record daily QA using Boris Software.
  • Ensure correct products are used per specifications.
  • Review drawings against current works to maintain scope.
  • Communicate any changes or variations to relevant team members.
  • Capture and document daywork variations with the Main Contractor.
  • Meet monthly with the Surveying department to discuss operational outputs.
  • Participate in health and safety meetings with Main Contractors, ensuring compliance.
  • Assist in preconstruction planning with key team leads.
  • Support surveyors, coordinators, and site operatives with materials and equipment planning.
  • Maintain tools and report losses or damages.
  • Attend appointments as required.
  • Prepare site-specific method statements and risk assessments for approval.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Proven experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
  • Experience managing installation projects and teams.
  • Strong understanding of site operations and workflows.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Monday.com, Smartsheet) is preferred.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations (e.g., ISO, OSHA, Safe Pass).
