Production Supervisor

West Limerick, Permanent

Day's role (Mon – Fri) early morning shift.

This job will suit a Production Supervisor looking for a new challenge or the next step in their career. Strong hands-on career opportunity for the right person.

Role purpose
This role offers the opportunity to proactively solve problems, drive continuous improvements and make a real impact.

Duties / Responsibilities

  1. Oversee and manage daily Production, Packaging & Dispatch process.
  2. Ensure efficient and smooth running of Production & Packing lines each day.
  3. Ensure Production records are completed in line with company food safety management plan.
  4. Design and implement staff adherence to correct hygiene and quality standards.
  5. Delegate work to staff on the line and ensure smooth and efficient operation.
  6. Identify potential future gaps in staffing and work to address these gaps.
  7. Assist with ad hoc problem solving & root cause analysis.
  8. Identify and assist in resolving specific issues causing downtime.
  9. Onboarding & Training of new staff members.
  10. Monitor Production and packing process efficiency and yield.
  11. Responsibility for maintenance of machinery on factory line ensuring smooth running of day's production.
  12. Ensure Health & Safety standards are followed at all times.

Qualifications/Professional skills/knowledge

  1. 2 to 3 years minimum experience in a similar role, ideally within the Food/FMCG Industry.
  2. Experience of BRC compliant systems would be an advantage.
  3. Qualification in Food Safety or related discipline would be an advantage.
  4. Knowledge of Quality and Health & Safety standards.
  5. Strong Work Ethic & Hands-on Approach.
  6. Third level qualification in a food science or related discipline would be an advantage but not essential.
  7. Excellent communication skills.
