Veterinary Care Assistant 2 - Dublin VMC
Position OverviewThe College of Veterinary Medicine at Ohio State University is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join the Orthopedic Surgery team at the Veterinary Medical Center in Dublin. The role involves supporting surgical procedures and providing patient care for surgery patients.
Responsibilities- Maintain equipment and instrumentation for surgeries
- Assist faculty and technicians with patient assessment and treatment
- Provide general patient care and assist with procedures
- Monitor biological parameters and differentiate normal and abnormal values
- Perform restraint techniques, acquire vitals, and document medical records
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including basic cleaning duties
- Lift at least 50 pounds; work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Undergo a background check
- High School diploma or GED (certification or vocational training preferred)
- 1 year of relevant experience required; 2-4 years preferred
Hourly rate: $18.00 - $20.74, commensurate with experience
Location: Veterinary Medicine - Dublin
Additional DetailsFull-time, 40 hours/week, first shift. Successful candidates will pass a background check. A drug screen or physical may be required.
