Overview

Life Sciences IT Site Lead / Senior Manager to oversee IT operations at a site level, ensuring alignment with broader business goals and corporate IT strategies. This role involves managing IT infrastructure, ensuring safety and quality standards compliance, and leading IT projects to support business functions. This position is on-site (not remote).

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the IT department to meet business and site objectives.
  • Ensure safety and compliance with environmental and health standards and to ensure continued certification to ISO14001, 45001, 50001.
  • Develop and maintain IT strategies for infrastructure and applications.
  • Lead the installation and maintenance of IT systems and hardware.
  • Manage IT help desk processes to resolve user issues efficiently.
  • Oversee data backup and recovery systems.
  • Lead IT projects, ensuring clear communication and timely delivery e.g datacenters, SAN, NAS, MSSQL, and Oracle.
  • Ensure adherence to HPRA and FDA/Regulatory inspections.
  • Promote continuous improvement and effective communication within the team.
  • Ensure compliance with financial and procurement regulations.
  • Develop training plans to enhance team skills and flexibility.
  • Engage with the team to ensure open communication and collaboration.
Key Skills and Requirements
  • Proven experience in leadership and management within IT.
  • IT experience including time in a GMP environment.
  • Ability to develop and implement IT strategies.
  • Strong experience with datacenters, SAN, NAS, MSSQL, and Oracle.
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure, including servers, databases, and applications.
  • Experience managing IT projects and ensuring regulatory compliance (e.g., FDA, GMP, HPRA, GDPR).
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Willing to be on-site.
