Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the design evolution of the product through research, data, and workshops.
  • Produce high-quality wireframes, mock-ups, and interactive prototypes that communicate the product's behaviour across web and mobile platforms.
  • Define and understand the design problems to be solved, think big, and explore divergent ideas while understanding how to converge and iteratively drive towards your vision.
  • Plan strategically and collaborate with product and engineering teams to shape the product's direction.
  • Advocate for design by showcasing your work and presenting cross-functionally to stakeholders while articulating your rationale and decision-making process.
  • Craft unified end-to-end product solutions by working closely with fellow team members.
  • Contribute to ESW's design system, use it effectively in your work, and advocate for its correct usage across the design and engineering teams.
  • Manage, prioritize, and track the workload within tight deadlines.
  • Understand how and when to apply design-thinking best practices and user-centred design methodologies.
  • Work with QA and engineering to ensure delivery of high-quality UI design output.
  • Understand WCAG 2.1 guidelines and the importance of designing for all users, including those with disabilities.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in UI, UX, or HCI-related fields, preferably in an eCommerce or SaaS organisation.
  • A portfolio showcasing your design work. Your portfolio must contain examples of finished work, your specific role in the project, and an explanation of your process and how you collaborated with other designers and stakeholders. Highlight any contributions to AI-related projects, your design process, or quantitative outcomes.
  • Expertise with Figma and other current design tools.
  • Experience designing with the big picture in mind, working through problems from beginning to end, defining broad system-level concepts, and fine-tuning specific interactions and visuals.
  • Nice to have: understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG) and best practices, with experience integrating accessibility practices into workflows.
  • Nice to have: experience using AI tools for design.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Knowledge of design systems.
  • Experience connecting your work with other cross-product initiatives within the company to drive collaboration.
  • Excited to work in a fast-paced, collaborative and dynamic environment.
