Insurance Services Administrator - ECCU Assurance DAC

ECCU Assurance DAC provides life assurance products to meet the needs of the credit unions across the Island of Ireland, that are affiliated to the Irish League of Credit Unions, in line with best business and assurance practices on a not for profit basis in line with the ethos of the credit union movement.

Overview

The Insurance Services Administrator supports the smooth and efficient operation of the department to ensure a high quality of service to Policyholders.

Main Duties / Responsibilities
  • Credit Union Insurance Policies:
    • Handle day-to-day processing of claims submitted by Credit Unions, ensuring claims are processed accurately and efficiently.
    • Process Declaration of Health Forms as required.
    • Input data accurately and efficiently into the Insurance Services Department database.
    • Liaise with Credit Unions to ensure all relevant data is received.
    • Maintain an orderly filing system.
    • Prepare various reports as required from time to time.
  • Individual Consumer Policies:
    • Handle day-to-day calls from Credit Union members interested in our Member Pay Product.
    • Process New Business applications and record member data accurately on our systems when appropriate.
    • Process Policy Alterations as required.
    • Maintain an orderly filing system.
    • Prepare various reports as required from time to time.
    • Assist in administration and efficient processing of renewal notices, mid-term endorsements, queries, and follow-up with Credit Unions or Members as required.
    • Handle telephone enquiries and general correspondence promptly; own and resolve queries as required.
    • Identify customer expectations and seek to meet or exceed them where possible.
    • Accept other reasonable duties as directed by the Supervisor/Manager.
    • Ensure compliance with Fitness and Probity requirements set down by the Central Bank of Ireland.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Required
  • QFA qualification or Accredited Product Adviser (Life) qualification is desirable
  • Knowledge/experience of the life insurance market – desirable
  • Knowledge/experience of the credit union movement - desirable
  • Good computer literacy skills
  • Flexibility
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
