Intellectual Disability Community Nurse (SC – full-time permanent position with Stewarts Care.

Stewarts Care is a long-established voluntary organisation providing comprehensive community-based services to people with intellectual disabilities. We support people across residential settings, day services, supported independent living, job advocacy and vocational training.

Job Description

Applications are invited for the above full-time permanent position. The successful applicant will be a valued member of our Stewarts Community Liaison Team, supporting the health and wellbeing of residents in community services and ensuring clinical practice is underpinned by NMBI requirements and Stewarts Care Policies, Procedures, Protocols and Guidelines.

Responsibilities
  • Support residents in community services to promote health and wellbeing.
  • Ensure clinical practice meets NMBI requirements and Stewarts Care policies and guidelines.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Currently registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) in the RNID Division.
  • Applications from other nurses registered with NMBI who have a minimum of 1 year's experience in Intellectual Disability will be considered.
  • Strong communication skills, ability to work well within a team, and ability to provide high-quality focused care.
  • Excellent command of English (verbal and written) and eligibility to work in Ireland.
  • Proficient in IT and having a full driver's license with access to a car.
