Senior Property Accountant

On behalf of a newly established Property Management firm in Dublin city centre, we are looking to hire a Senior Accountant.

Working alongside the Finance Director, the Senior Accountant will have indirect responsibility for 2 part-qualified Accounts Assistants, overseeing their work and ensuring their timeline and accurate completion of work, including AP/AR, accounts preparation, etc. Additional responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation and review of monthly and quarterly management accounts and reports.
  • Assist in the coordination of the annual audit with external auditors on all property related matters.
  • Assist in the preparation of corporation tax returns and liaising with external tax advisers.
  • Assist the Finance Director with preparation of annual property budgets.
  • Building relationships with various stakeholders including Development Managers, Property Managers, Asset Managers, etc.
  • Support ad-hoc projects as they arise.

Requirements

  • Bachelors or advanced degree from an accredited college or university.
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification with c. 3 years' post qualified experience.
  • Previous real estate/property management industry experience preferred.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, with excellent Excel skills.
  • Proficient in the use of accounting software (Yardi experience highly advantageous).
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent attention to detail and organisation, good judgement, showing logical decision-making and have a hands-on approach.
