We are seeking a BMS Automation Engineer for a 12-month contractor role, working full-time onsite at a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Athlone.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting, configuring, and maintaining building management and HVAC automation systems.

Hourly rate up to €62/hour DOE

Key responsibilities include:

  • Configuring, operating, and maintaining BMS/HVAC automation systems
  • Managing third-party integrators and vendors for automation projects and support
  • Developing and reviewing technical documentation and SOPs
  • Ensuring all automation systems are compliant and validated
  • Providing technical guidance to onsite teams and supporting cross-functional projects
  • Leading or supporting automation projects as needed

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years' automation experience in GxP manufacturing environments
  • Minimum 5 years' experience with BMS/HVAC systems
  • Strong knowledge of Siemens Desigo; experience with Siemens PLCs/SCADA/HMI and Neuberger ProGrafNT is a plus
  • Experience managing system integrators and supporting manufacturing controls networks (Profibus, Ethernet, Modbus, etc.)
  • Solid understanding of cGMP and GAMP best practices
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
