Overview

Job Title: Senior Engineer

Location: Co. Kildare

Project: €15m Commercial Development

Reporting To: Project Manager

Company Overview

3D Personnel are working with a leading construction contractor delivering high-quality commercial and industrial projects across Ireland. Due to the commencement of a new €15 million commercial development in Kildare, we are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join the project team and play a key role in delivering this high-profile build.

Role Overview

As Senior Engineer, you will work closely with the Project Manager, leading the engineering function on-site. You will ensure the technical accuracy of the works, manage setting out and QA processes, and coordinate subcontractors and suppliers throughout the build.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate all engineering aspects of the site
  • Ensure accuracy in setting out, levels, and dimensions
  • Supervise site engineers and ensure quality assurance procedures are followed
  • Liaise with the Project Manager and design team to resolve technical issues
  • Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with current drawings, specifications, and building regulations
  • Manage site documentation
  • Support the coordination of subcontractors and monitor progress on site
  • Attend site meetings and contribute to progress and programme updates
Requirements
  • Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline
  • Minimum 5+ years' experience in a senior engineering role on large-scale commercial projects
  • Strong technical knowledge and attention to detail
  • Proficient in setting out and using surveying equipment
  • Excellent communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage junior engineers and coordinate with the wider project team
  • Familiarity with Health & Safety regulations and quality standards
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and project management tools
