About The School Food Company and its sister companies:

We have been operating since 2011, with the ethos of helping children and young people make healthier food choices by providing healthy food in schools. We facilitate access to healthy, delicious food at school with zero cost or hassle to the schools. We operate nationally across Ireland in primary and secondary schools, installing kitchens and providing onsite food services.

We are currently recruiting for Supervisors and Catering Assistants (full-time and part-time) at St. Bridget's Primary School, Grey Abbey Road, Kildare Town, Kildare. The roles start in August. Employees are integrated into the school community and are off during school breaks: midterms, Christmas, Easter, and summer (unpaid). Flexibility in working days is essential; this position may not suit those in part-time education. Garda Vetting is required.

  • The Catering Supervisor role is approximately 32.5 hours/week, Monday to Friday, from about 7:30 am to 2:30 pm, subject to business needs.
  • The full-time Catering Assistant role is approximately 28-32 hours/week, Monday to Friday, from about 7:30/8:00 am to 2:30 pm, subject to business needs.
  • The part-time Catering Assistant role is approximately 12-18 hours/week, on a 2-3 day rotation, from about 8:00/8:30 am to 2:30 pm, subject to business needs.

Roles involve preparing hot lunches onsite, delivering them to classrooms, and cleaning up afterward. Previous catering and supervisory experience and knowledge of HACCP are advantageous but not essential.
