Job Description:About The School Food Company and its sister companies:
We have been in operation since 2011, with a mission to promote healthier eating habits among children and young people by providing healthy food options in schools.
We make it easy for kids to access healthy and delicious food at school, without any cost or hassle to the schools.
We operate across Ireland in primary and secondary schools, installing kitchens and canteens and providing onsite food services.
We are currently recruiting for a Catering Supervisor and part-time Catering Assistants at Harcourt Terrace Educate Together National School, Dublin 2. These roles start in September.
Our staff are integrated into the school community and enjoy breaks during midterms, Christmas, Easter, and summer (unpaid). Flexibility in working days is essential, and the roles may not suit those in part-time education. Garda Vetting is required.
- The part-time Catering Assistant role involves approximately 10-18 hours per week, on a 2-3 day rotation, with shifts around 8.30/9.00 am to 2.30 pm, subject to business needs.
Responsibilities include preparing hot lunches, delivering them to classrooms, and cleaning up.
Strong time management, people management, and organizational skills are essential due to strict break times.
Previous catering and supervisory experience and knowledge of HACCP are advantageous but not essential.
