Role Description

As the Off License Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing our store in Dun Laoghaire. You will be responsible for creating an exceptional customer experience by sharing your expert knowledge of wines, beers, and craft beers with our valued clientele. Your passion for the industry and commitment to providing outstanding customer service will set the tone for the entire team. Our clients have been in business for over years and have built an outstanding reputation in the process.

Responsibilities:

Product Expertise: Utilize your expert knowledge of wines, beers, and craft beers to assist customers in making informed purchasing decisions. Offer recommendations and guidance on wine pairings to enhance their shopping experience.

Upselling and Cross-Selling: Proactively identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products to increase sales and revenue. Demonstrate a genuine enthusiasm for the products, inspiring customers to try new and exciting offerings.

Store Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the off license, including inventory management, merchandising, and maintaining a clean and inviting store environment.

Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of enthusiastic sales associates. Provide training and coaching to ensure staff members have the knowledge and skills to deliver exceptional service.

Customer Service: Ensure the highest level of customer service is delivered at all times. Address customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure a positive shopping experience for every customer.

Compliance and Security: Enforce compliance with all relevant laws and regulations regarding the sale of alcohol. Maintain security measures to prevent theft and ensure the safety of customers and staff.

Vendor Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with wine and beer vendors, negotiate contracts, and secure favorable pricing and product exclusives.

Requirements:

Expert Knowledge: Demonstrated expertise in wines, beers, and craft beers, with a strong ability to offer advice on pairings and product characteristics.

Passion for the Industry: Genuine passion for the beverage industry, staying up-to-date with industry trends and new product releases.

Sales and Customer-Oriented: Proven experience in sales, upselling, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Management Experience: Prior experience in a managerial or supervisory role, leading a team to achieve targets and deliver excellent results.

Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and connect with customers and team members.

Organization and Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage inventory effectively.

Legal Compliance: Understanding of alcohol sales regulations and commitment to maintaining compliance.
