Overview

Research And Development Engineer (R&D) - Vascular

A leading medical device organisation is seeking a Vascular R&D Engineer to join a pioneering team working on a Class III implantable device for aortic endovascular repair. This is a rare opportunity to contribute from early-stage design through to commercialization, including clinical studies and global regulatory submissions.

You'll be part of a 14-person project team focused on developing a stent graft system, with this role specifically leading the delivery system component. You'll manage a team of 4–5 engineers, driving innovation and execution across the full product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead design and development of the delivery system for an aortic stent graft.
  • Oversee component specifications, manufacturing processes, and test method development.
  • Drive verification and validation (V&V) activities and support regulatory submissions (including PMA).
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to bring the product from concept to market.
What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of engineering experience in Class III medical devices.
  • Strong background in vascular technologies—ideally aortic, stents, or stent grafts.
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to delegate, structure, and drive a team.
  • Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Material Sciences.
  • Experience across the full product development cycle.
