Post specific related information
Qualifications required: A full Degree in Social Care/Studies or relevant 3rd level qualification at degree level (e.g., Social Work, Psychology) is essential, or a relevant qualification recognised outside the state by NARIC equivalent to Irish level 8. Eligible to register with CORU as a Social Care Worker. Skills/Abilities required for a Team Leader/PIC: two years of management experience with responsibility for a team. Knowledge of current legislation and regulations relating to the Social Care Sector. Understanding of the needs and rights of individuals with autism. Ability to work on own initiative and to coordinate and manage developing services. Experience in implementing and developing support/care plans and PCPs. Places the needs of the person supported as the key focus in all activities. Delivers support according to the person's PCP and care plan. Fluent English and excellent communication skills. Full driver's licence essential.
