Coach Driver role at Sky Handling Partner, based at Dublin Airport. Drive and support safe, efficient passenger transport to and from flights while delivering high-quality service to airline clients. Work as part of a collaborative team in a dynamic airport environment.

The Role

As a Coach Driver, you will collaborate with colleagues across departments and with staff at Dublin Airport and airline representatives. You will help coordinate schedules, manage passenger flow, and respond to operational challenges to deliver a seamless travel experience for passengers and high-quality service for our airline clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure Coaches Are Ready for Operation: perform pre-trip inspections and ensure coaches are in excellent working condition.
  • Ferry Passengers Smoothly: transport passengers on company coaches as requested by customer airlines, ensuring timely and comfortable arrivals.
  • Prioritize Passenger Safety: drive with caution and attentiveness to maintain passenger safety.
  • Inspect for Belongings: check the coach cabin for personal belongings before and after trips.
  • Maintain Cleanliness and Safety: keep exterior and cabin clean; ensure floors are dry and safe.
  • Communicate Effectively: inform your supervisor promptly of delays or issues to enable quick resolution.
  • Report Equipment Issues: report faults or breakdowns to maintain safety and reliability.
  • Wear Proper Uniform and Safety Gear: wear the provided uniform, safety gear, and high-visibility clothing to reflect professionalism.
  • Adapt to Additional Duties: may be assigned other responsibilities to support operations.

You will maintain open communication with your supervisor and colleagues to address issues promptly and collaboratively.

Contract and Hours

Role: full-time, permanent contract with a six-month probation period. Competitive pay at €17.18 (inclusive) per hour. Overtime is paid at time and a half. Standard hours are 37.5 per week with flexibility for additional hours as needed due to operational demands. Shift lengths vary between 4 and 10 hours and may include early starts and late finishes.

Requirements
Essential Criteria
  • Full Clean Category D Driver's Licence: valid, unrestricted Category D licence for operating larger passenger coaches.
  • Minimum Age 18 Years
  • Pass a 5-Year Security Background Check and Garda Vetting
  • Eligible to Live and Work in the EU
  • Proficient Written and Verbal English
  • Ability to Work Rostered Shifts and Flexibility
  • Ability to Work Well Under Pressure
  • Excellent Punctuality and Attendance
  • Adherence to SHP Grooming & Uniform Standards
Desirable Criteria
  • Operational Experience in an operational environment
