Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain the monthly board operations pack, including commentary on variances and key events.
  • Automate and evolve reporting inputs through collaboration with H&S, Planning, Construction, and other departments.
  • Manage the Fixed Asset Register and oversee capital expenditure linked to expansion plans.
  • Complete month-end close for the NUA entity ahead of Group consolidation.
  • Build, refine, and maintain Solver reports to support quarterly forecasting and strategic planning.
  • Update and automate site models and standard reporting for redesigns, costing changes, and programme adjustments.
  • Analyse the impact of design or construction method changes on site costs and report findings.
  • Monitor and report on sales pricing movements.
  • Partner with Group Finance to deliver accurate cost variance reporting, identify efficiencies, and drive performance to budget/forecast.
  • Support audits, provide ad hoc analysis, and assist the Operations Director/Head of Finance with additional projects as needed.

Requirements
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with strong technical knowledge.
  • Solid experience in management accounting, financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting, ideally within construction or a related industry.
  • Advanced Excel skills with the ability to build, automate, and refine reports and financial models; experience with Solver or similar systems an advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data, explain variances, and link results to operational performance.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to partner effectively with finance, operations, and site teams.
  • Proactive, organised, and adaptable, with a focus on process improvement, automation, and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
