Job SummaryYou will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of quality assurance and control within the manufacturing environment. You will oversee the implementation and maintenance of quality management systems, ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction. Industries served are Aviation, Mass Transportation, Retail & Medical.
ResponsibilitiesQuality Management Systems: Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems (QMS) in accordance with aerospace industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO
- Conduct internal audits and assessments to monitor compliance with QMS requirements and identify areas for improvement.
Quality Assurance and Control: Develop and implement quality control measures and inspection procedures to ensure compliance with customer specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Establish and maintain inspection criteria, sampling plans, and acceptance criteria for incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products.
- Coordinate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve quality-related issues and implement corrective actions.
Supplier Quality Management: Establish and maintain supplier quality assurance processes, including supplier qualification, evaluation, and performance monitoring.
Customer Quality Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for customer quality inquiries, concerns, and requirements; Collaborate with customers to understand their quality expectations, feedback, and performance metrics; Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, process efficiency, and customer satisfaction; Implement quality improvement tools and methodologies, such as Lean Six Sigma, 5S, and root cause analysis, to drive sustainable improvements.
Skills and experience:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, or related field. Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) is a plus.
- Proven experience in quality management roles, preferably (but not essentially) in the aerospace or plastics manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of plastics manufacturing processes, materials, and quality control methods.
- Experience leading and managing quality management systems, audits, and corrective/preventive actions.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Certification in quality management (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Manager, Six Sigma Black Belt) is desirable.
