Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial and contractual aspects of road maintenance projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for tendering, procurement, subcontractor management, and compliance, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop accurate tenders, cost estimates, and budgets
- Manage procurement, subcontractors, and suppliers effectively
- Monitor project costs, profitability, and risks closely
- Evaluate environmental, health, safety, and quality (EHSQ) compliance and framework requirements
- Support invoicing with accurate data and reporting
- Identify business growth opportunities through tendering and contribute to our company's success
Key Qualifications:
- Proven experience in quantity surveying, estimating, or commercial management within civil engineering or maintenance
- Familiarity with bituminous/tar surfacing works is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of EHSQ compliance and public sector frameworks is essential
- Excellent analytical skills and commercially astute
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
