Senior Backend Software Engineer

We're hiring experienced Senior Backend Software Engineers for a global client in the digital audio and entertainment space. The teams are building large-scale systems that support millions of users, focusing on high-throughput services, distributed systems, and robust backend infrastructure.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Develop scalable and resilient backend systems that support business-critical functions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Design, Engineering)
  • Drive backend architecture and system design discussions
  • Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code
  • Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and on-call rotations
  • Investigate and resolve complex technical issues in production
What You'll Need:
  • 5+ years of professional backend engineering experience
  • Strong experience with Java and at least one other language
  • Proven experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD, source control, and testing best practices
  • Hands-on experience with distributed systems in production
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability
Nice to Have:
  • Experience with Scala and functional programming
  • Familiarity with asynchronous programming models
  • Exposure to infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CDK
  • Worked with high-throughput distributed systems
