Director, Architecture

Fidelity's Workplace Digital Experience (WDX) architecture team is looking for an experienced customer-focused digital solution architect to help us build the next generation of cross-channel shared digital experiences for our external customers, internal associates, and client agents. In this role, you will be a critical resource bringing together business and technical teams as we seek to modernize and transform digital capabilities within our Stock Plan Services product. The resulting experience, available on both web and mobile platforms, will be used by millions of customers as they invest assets, build wealth, and ultimately use those assets to live out their dreams

• Has experience architecting and building large scale, high-performing internet-facing platforms that align to architecture blueprints and technical standards in an environment where security is paramount
• Has demonstrated experience designing and consuming APIs with technologies including Federated GraphQL, Spring Boot, Java, and Open Policy Agent
• Has contributed to defining and documenting architectural patterns, standards, and blueprints, and can evaluate proposed solutions based on their alignment to the same
• Understands the business domain and becomes a trusted advisor and partner to product leadership, influencing their product roadmaps by recommending strategies and approaches that help them achieve their goals
• Builds effective relationships and works collaboratively with engineering teams when sought out for consultation and technical guidance
• Works equally well whether independently or with others and is able to effectively lead several initiatives at once
• Is an expert communicator, helping non-technical people to understand technical concepts while being able to explain the business strategy to technical audiences

We are looking for someone who holds a Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, or has equivalent experience in this or a related field.
