Temple Bar Hotel Dublin is seeking a Bar Tender to join the team in its unique four-star hotel.

You will report to the Bar Manager, supporting/working towards providing our customers with excellent service, working as a team with your colleagues and maintaining the health, safety, and cleanliness of the bar areas at all times.

A Bar Tender Will Be Responsible For:

  • Adhering to all safe working practices and procedures in operation within the bars at all times.
  • Following all standards expected and exceeding customer expectations at all times.
  • Ensuring that customers are offered the highest quality standards of service and care, anticipating their needs and being attentive at all times.
  • Promoting sales within the department at all times and upselling where possible.
  • Taking responsibility for all bar and lounge areas and reporting any issues to the Senior Bar Staff or Manager immediately.
  • Ensuring that all bar wastage is recorded to ensure accuracy of stock take.
  • Ensuring that all bottles etc. are disposed of properly and safely, the bar is cleaned and restocked, and stock is rotated at the end of daily business.
  • Ensuring that all procedures in relation to floats, stock, cash, and till operation are adhered to at all times as requested by hotel policy.
  • Having an in-depth knowledge of your department product, in addition to being aware of the total hotel facilities.
  • Working as part of the Team, being aware of colleagues and their needs, and being flexible at all times.
  • Attending training sessions as required.
  • Attending appraisal and assessment meetings as and when required.
  • Complying with statutory and legal requirements for Health & Safety, Fire, and Hygiene.

To be successful in the role of Bar Tender, we require:

  • Previous experience in a bar or hospitality environment.
  • A strong understanding of beverages, including cocktails, beers, and wines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • The ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • A team-oriented attitude and a passion for creating exceptional guest experiences.
