Overview
We are currently looking for a Market Operations Manager to join our expanding team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the market participation of the company's demand response portfolio in Ireland and Northern Ireland.
We are looking for someone with significant experience and a strong understanding of the Irish electricity market, ideally with experience managing capacity contracts including capacity bid preparation. A highly motivated, self-driven, analytical individual who is familiar with the Irish electricity policy & regulatory landscape. Strong communication skills with the ability to analyze complex material and communicate it clearly to management and the wider business.
Experience with grid code compliance testing or dispatch testing would be beneficial.
The day-to-day role will involve managing interactions with the electricity market operator, transmission system operator, distribution system operator, and other stakeholders, both internal and external, to ensure successful onboarding of additional capacity and optimal utilization of existing capacity.

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintaining awareness of and working towards pertinent timelines related to the company's activities in the electricity market.
- Preparing and submitting regulatory and market-related documentation, applications, auction submissions, and tenders to meet objectives.
- Coordinating with commercial and field operations teams to ensure client engagement, equipment installation, commissioning, and testing meet market timelines and volume commitments.
- Managing registration, de-registration, and modifications of electricity market units.
- Preparing and submitting pre-testing documentation and managing compliance testing and reporting.
- Handling market entry of tested clients and liaising with other business units to manage the portfolio effectively, maintaining compliance and maximizing benefits.
- Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, handling queries from regulators and system operators, and providing reports and analyses.
- Supporting strategy development and representing the company at forums domestically and internationally.
- Presenting market insights clearly to internal stakeholders and monitoring/reporting on license obligations.

- Relevant experience in the electricity industry.
- Exceptional attention to detail and pragmatic approach.
- Ability to work independently with high motivation.
- Strong communication skills, capable of summarizing complex material for management and business.
- Good understanding of Irish electricity policy and regulatory matters.
Desirable:
- Experience managing capacity contracts in Ireland.
- Deep understanding of the Irish electricity market.
- Strong analytical skills.
