Overview

Breakfast Buffet Assistant role at Clontarf Castle, working with the Fahrenheit Restaurant team in Dublin. Clontarf Castle Hotel is a boutique and luxury hotel offering unique style and exceptional service.

We are located just 10 minutes from the heart of Dublin City Centre and 5 miles from Dublin Airport, in a tranquil setting surrounded by golf courses and the Irish Sea.

Objective of the Role

Reporting to the Restaurant Managers, the Breakfast Buffet Assistant carries out duties to ensure day-to-day operations align with department and hotel standards. Provide 100% quality service to guests and ensure the smooth and efficient running of breakfast, maintaining standards and guest satisfaction at all times.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Exceed customer expectations in a pleasant and efficient manner in accordance with hotel standards.
  • Adhere to Health & Safety and Hygiene Procedures.
  • Maintain high food safety and hygiene standards during setup and service.
  • Set up the buffet with all food items, beverages and condiments.
  • Monitor food quality and presentation; ensure items are fresh and replenished in a timely manner.
  • Provide training and guidance on buffet setup, food handling and customer service.
  • Ensure all food items are appropriately labeled and stored.
  • Regularly check food temperature and quality to meet safety standards.
  • Work a flexible shift pattern and rotate through areas as required.
  • Be familiar with and adhere to all areas outlined in the Team Handbook.
Requirements
  • Experience in a 4/5* star hotel as a Buffet Supervisor (preferred).
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Attention to detail.
