Business Development Manager – Electrical Sector

Job Description:

Our client, a leading electrical wholesaler, is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager with a background in electrical contracting. The position is based on-site in Dublin M50 and offers a permanent opportunity to contribute to business growth and client engagement.

Job Responsibilities

  • Drive new business opportunities within the electrical contracting space.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to secure repeat and referral business.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure client requirements are met effectively.
  • Identify market trends and opportunities for expansion.
  • Conduct regular site visits and meetings with key stakeholders.
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximise profit.
  • Maintain a detailed pipeline and provide accurate forecasting.

Experience Required

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a business development or sales role within the electrical sector.
  • Strong background in or understanding of electrical contracting environments.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience in customer relationship management and strategic sales planning.
  • Familiarity with wholesale electrical product ranges.
  • Understanding of procurement processes in construction or facilities management.
  • Experience with CRM systems and sales reporting tools.

Educational Requirements

  • A third-level qualification in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Trade qualification in electrical or a similar field would be a strong advantage.
  • Monday to Friday, standard working hours.
  • On-site role based in Dublin.
  • Competitive salary package. Base €50-60k plus OTE Sales
  • Bonus scheme based on performance.
  • Pension contribution and other standard permanent employment benefits.
