Overview

PM Group is a leading international engineering, architecture, project, and construction management firm. We are currently seeking a Senior Contracts & Procurement Manager for our Dublin or Cork office. This role involves working within the construction contracts procurement function and delivering results as part of a project team. The primary responsibility is the development and award of construction contracts on fast-track projects.

Responsibilities
  1. Sourcing and pre-qualification of contractors
  2. Preparation and issuance of tenders
  3. Commercial and technical evaluation of tenders
  4. Chairing clarification meetings
  5. Leading commercial negotiations
  6. Preparing recommendation reports for approval
  7. Developing and updating procurement strategies
  8. Preparing and maintaining procurement reports
  9. Preparing contract documents
  10. Monitoring contractor performance and driving improvements
  11. Providing contract management support during the construction phase
  12. Performing other duties as directed by the Procurement Department Manager
Qualifications
  1. 20+ years of relevant experience with a proven track record in large-scale EPCM projects across various global locations
  2. Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or Engineering
  3. Extensive knowledge of tendering and contract management procedures
  4. Strong legal understanding of construction contracts
  5. Experience with main forms of contract and bespoke contract forms
  6. High-level skills in bid evaluation and report compilation for selection processes
  7. Excellent organizational skills for managing complex records and files in automated systems
  8. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for building relationships
  9. Flexibility and ability to handle multiple requests across different areas
  10. Strong customer focus and teamwork orientation
  11. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  12. Proficiency in Excel and other Office software
