Overview

The Outsourced Technical Services (OTS) Department of PM Group works hard to match talented engineers to exciting client opportunities. We now wish to recruit an experienced Process Plant Engineer for a client site in Cork. The ideal candidate will be a Process/Chemical Engineer, with a proven track record of working in a plant operations role, ideally in the Pharma sector.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the manufacturing process, ensuring quality work, safety of staff, and efficient output
  • Identify and implement process improvement projects to improve KPIs
  • Oversee the implementation of equipment upgrade and replacement projects, where there is an identified need
  • Liaise with other engineers to develop processes that improve KPIs
  • Diagnose problems in the production line and providing recommendations and training
  • Establish safety procedures and protocols
  • Keep abreast of advancements in engineering and production
  • Identify, document, and report unsafe practices
  • Draw up production schedules and budgets for projects
  • Schedule meetings with relevant departments and stakeholders
  • Analyze all production processes and make recommendations for improvement

Qualifications
  • A third level degree in Process or Chemical Engineering or equivalent
  • A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a plant operations role
  • An excellent record in Health & Safety
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills are essential
  • A strong understanding and experience of production processes and operational requirements in the pharma sector.
