Quality Technician

A multinational manufacturer of precision metal components and assemblies is now seeking a Quality Technician

THE COMPANY:

Established over 50 years ago, this multinational precision engineering company has built a reputation on a global scale for their high standards and attention to quality. They supply a diverse range of sectors but specialize in medical device, aerospace, automotive, and energy. Using the latest state-of-the-art CNC machines, they have the capability to manage all their clients' metal requirements, from fabrication, machining, turning, bending, tooling, welding, finishing, and assembly. With a turnover in the tens of millions and a workforce of nearly 300, they are now seeking to enhance the team with a new Quality Technician.

THE ROLE:

The successful candidate will be site-based in Shannon, Clare with the following duties:

  1. Maintain quality standards by approving incoming parts, first-off inspections, and finished product inspections.
  2. Conduct visual and measurement tests; reject and return unacceptable parts.
  3. Communicate required adjustments to production operators/supervisor.
  4. Record quality results and generate various quality reports.
  5. Summarize re-work and waste; input data into the quality database.
  6. Conduct internal audits/process audit checks throughout the manufacturing facility.

THE PERSON:

We are looking to speak to those from the following backgrounds:

  1. Any prior experience working in a quality role will be a distinct advantage.
  2. We will also consider engineering graduates looking to pursue a career in quality - mechanical engineers, manufacturing engineers.
  3. Any candidates with experience working as an operative or technician in manufacturing, specifically precision engineering, are encouraged to apply.

SALARY: €30,000 - €35,000 DOE

LOCATION: Shannon, Clare
