Responsibilities- This role is based in Galway, Ireland.
- Diagnose faults on printed circuit boards (PCBs) through schematics and testing.
- Verify correct components on PCBs using relevant equipment.
- Test repaired PCBs using test equipment to aid production.
- Fault find and repair circuit board assemblies to component level, with a focus on increasing yield.
- Support cross-functional engineering teams.
- Diagnose issues on electronic products or testers and support resolutions across product lines and cells.
- Support root cause analysis of issues on products or manufacturing processes and influence changes to production or product design to improve line and product yields.
- Potentially learn skills on Jet Printer program development and provide technical support to production.
- Diploma or current studies in a relevant engineering discipline.
- SMT hand soldering/rework experience.
- Knowledge/experience with repairing PCBs and reading schematics.
- Working knowledge of analog and digital circuits.
- Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong communication, time management, and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, analytical, and capable of independent problem solving while being a team player.
