Based in Birr, Polydome operates throughout Ireland and has a good reputation for quality and professionalism. We manufacture and supply a variety of polytunnels (domestic and commercial) and are the sole Irish agents for several prestigious glasshouse brands, including Janssens and Griffin Glasshouses.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Birr for a Glasshouse and Polytunnel Constructor. You will be responsible for the construction and installation of glasshouses and polytunnels. Daily tasks include assembling setting out, assembling frames, installing glass panels, ensuring structural integrity, performing maintenance and repairs, and collaborating with the manufacturing team to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Experience in construction, assembly, or relevant fieldwork
  • Skills in carpentry, metalworking, or glass installation
  • Ability to read and interpret instructions and technical drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and teamwork skills
  • Physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions
  • Experience with greenhouse or polytunnel construction is a plus
  • Valid driver's license
