Purchasing Administrator – Contract Opportunity | Cork (Biopharma Sector)

Fastnet are currently recruiting for a Purchasing Administrator with buying experience to join a leading biopharmaceutical manufacturing site in Cork. This facility produces low-volume bulk API to support clinical trials, product launches, and ongoing commercial supply.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in GMP environments and a keen interest in procurement processes to further develop their skills in a dynamic and highly regulated setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support day-to-day buying activities
  • Raise purchase orders via Ariba/SAP based on internal demand
  • Manage packaging change requests through TrackWise
  • Update purchase order dates and ensure timely follow-up
  • Work with Warehouse and Accounts Payable to resolve receiving/invoice issues
  • Coordinate supplier forecast planning
  • Generate and update monthly supplier scorecards and OTIF metrics
  • Maintain accurate system attributes
  • Organise and facilitate supplier or cross-functional meetings
  • Assist with inventory analysis and reporting

About You:

  • BA/BS degree
  • 2+ years' experience in a GMP environment, ideally with exposure to document control or procurement functions
  • Some prior experience in a junior buying or purchasing role preferred
  • Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems is highly desirable
