Team Horizon is seeking an Associate Director of Technical Operations for our client in Dublin. This position is responsible for overseeing high-level technology transfer projects and managing a portfolio of marketed product support. The role will involve managing technical staff at the Technical Centre and collaborating with the global Science and Technology group.

The team is tasked with identifying and executing technological improvements across the site's product portfolio and ensuring supply readiness for new product launches.

What you will be doing:
  • Lead technical expertise in various OSD processes and equipment.
  • Operate under dynamic conditions, adapting to evolving priorities.
  • Display leadership in engaging and managing a diverse, specialized team.
  • Deliver tech transfer, process development, scale-up, and validation activities.
  • Develop the team to maintain technical and regulatory excellence.
  • Champion new technology assessment and implementation.
  • Support material characterization and qualifications.
  • Optimize product processes and support continuous verification.
  • Ensure product launch and transfer supply robustness.
  • Manage small-scale manufacturing areas and promote their capabilities.
  • Develop and drive the CPV program.
  • Interface with regulatory agencies as needed.
  • Lead departmental initiatives and projects.
What you need to apply:
  • BS/MS/PhD in pharmacy, chemical engineering, or related science.
  • Proven experience in Pharma R&D and/or Manufacturing Technical Services.
  • Experience across development, tech transfer, and launch phases, including regulatory aspects.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to delegate and leverage external partners.
  • Strategic thinking (5-10 years outlook).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and pharmaceutical technology systems.
  • Understanding of statistical methodologies and control systems.
