Scope of Role

To manage and develop Project cargo business customers, focused in the Ireland market. As a member of the Ireland Industrial Projects team, the role will have overall accountability to develop a pipeline of business in the project cargo market sector, by leveraging the relationships with stakeholders in client organisations, who ultimately have responsible for project execution, and project logistics decisions.

Head of Industrial Projects Ireland

Days & Hours of Work

Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm, or such hours as deemed necessary to fulfil the requirements of the role

Accountabilities
  • Manage the DHL Industrial Projects relationship with client representatives typically in senior procurement and logistics roles.
  • Provide country wide support for the Ireland Industrial Projects team.
  • Work in close cooperation with the Country IP Head and other teams.
  • Project customer engagement at all levels.
  • Networking with the DHL IP offices and DGF offices Globally.
  • Facilitate review meetings on current and new project opportunities.
  • Provide support to the DHL regional bid team.
  • Direct input in preparation of Tender Submissions.
  • Write technical responses and describe Project Management Processes.
  • Explore alternative responses and solutions.
  • Collaborate with country teams to propose attractive solutions.
  • Technical Project Logistics Experience.
  • Operations experience understanding Heavy Lifts and Out of Gauge Cargo movements.
  • Ability to cope with pressure and adversity.

Skills / Qualifications:Expected years of experience (minimum)
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in commercial sales within the freight forwarding industry.
Expected Qualifications
  • Relevant third-level qualification desirable.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Industrial Projects.
