Overview

We are hiring immediately for a School Bus Driver in Savannah, MO. No experience required; training provided. Starting pay is $19.50 per hour, with a sign-on bonus up to $2,000.

Starting Pay and Sign-On
  • Starting pay rate: $19.50 per hour
  • Sign-on bonus: Up To $2,000 (Non-CDL $1,000; CDL fully credentialed driver $2,000)
Responsibilities
  • Provides safe and reliable transportation by operating a school bus or other designated vehicle on a fixed or changing route.
  • Exhibits ethical conduct and integrity; reports concerns about suspicious or inappropriate behavior to supervision.
  • Reports to duty on time and maintains on-time route performance in a safe manner.
  • Physically assists passengers in evacuation of the vehicle in case of emergency.
  • Immediately reports any accident or incident per Company policy.
  • Follows company policy on student and passenger management.
  • Informs all appropriate personnel of problems or procedures.
  • Presents a neat and professional appearance at all times.
  • Completes all required paperwork (including route change sheets, time cards, vehicle repair requests) promptly.
  • Maintains a cooperative attitude with fellow employees, supervisors, customers, and passengers while promoting company goodwill.
  • Safely and efficiently utilizes vehicle equipment, including wheelchair lifts, radios, and emergency equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Additional responsibilities for Paratransit Drivers may apply per location.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 21 years old; for Tennessee School Bus Drivers, at least 25 years old per state law.
  • Must possess or obtain valid state license and other required certifications to operate company vehicles.
  • Must meet physical and medical requirements and pass substance abuse screening; safety-sensitive employee may be subject to random screening.
  • Must satisfactorily complete and pass all training.
  • Must practice defensive driving and maintain safe driving and work habits.
  • Compliance with all applicable federal, state, county, district, and contract-specific driver requirements.
