The Opportunity: Join our Infrastructure team in Cork and contribute to impactful projects across Ireland and Europe. The 15-strong site infrastructure team in Ireland (based primarily in Dublin and Cork) provides a range of design services on projects in both the public and private sectors. We work very closely with other Arup teams as part of Arup-wide multi-disciplinary teams in Ireland and across the World. We deliver projects primarily in the Science Industry and Technology sectors. This role provides an excellent opportunity for career development.

Responsibilities
  • Be responsible for producing drawings, specifications and reports to time and budget.
  • Lead and manage engineering design teams.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Represent Arup at client meetings, offering expert advice and developing innovative solutions.
Qualifications
  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering with minimum 10 years' experience within a consultancy environment
  • Must have chartered professional status, or similar recognised qualification.
  • Strong site infrastructure technical design skills (surface water, foul, water, roads and carparks, earthworks, MEP services coordination).
  • Proven track record in project delivery for the Science and Industry market.
We Also Value
  • Awareness of the Irish regulatory and planning framework, with experience managing site infrastructure projects through the planning process.
  • Experience liaising with Irish Water, utility companies and Local Authorities.
  • Experience managing internal and external design interfaces (architectural, structural, geotechnical, landscape, mechanical and electrical).
  • Experience leading and directing teams in a digital/BIM environment, coordinating civil services with other disciplines.
  • Experience with Civil 3D/Revit and other BIM software.
  • Knowledge of Navisworks and clash detection processes.
  • Knowledge of MicroDrainage or similar network modelling software.
