Childcare Practitioner

Kelly Childcare are looking for a Childcare Assistant to join our team of dedicated childcare professionals. The ideal candidate should currently be working in childcare and have a fun, friendly and enthusiastic personality. This is a great opportunity to join a friendly, welcoming work environment.

• Assisting in developing, co-ordinating and directing varied activities involving Children from 2 to 6 years old
• Collaborate with the Manager to implement and maintain services and/or programmes
• Co-ordinate the implementation of activities suitable for this age group
• To ensure a safe, secure and healthy environment for the care, safety and welfare of the children
• Provide for the holistic needs of the children
• Promote and help maintain an organised, clean, safe, well equipped and culturally sensitive learning environment
• To communicate effectively with children, parents and staff alike
• Meet established policies and procedures, creating an environment of best practice

In order to be successful in this position the applicant must have:

• Minimum FETAC/QQI Level 5 in Childcare qualification or equivalent
• Practical experience in a childcare setting an advantage
• First Aid and Manual Handling an advantage
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• A desire to learn progressively throughout your career due to the nature of the industry
• Sincere and genuine love of children
