A Taste of The Job
We're looking for a skilled and experienced Fitter to join our Maintenance Team at our Irish Cream Liqueur manufacturing and bottling facility in Abbeyleix. Working on a two-shift cycle (Monday to Friday), you'll play a hands-on role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of production machinery and services across the site.

From tackling breakdowns to planning preventative maintenance, your work will ensure our bottling and processing lines run smoothly and safely - contributing directly to the quality of Ireland's most-loved cream liqueurs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine and preventative maintenance on plant equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair faults in machinery and systems.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to emergency breakdowns.
  • Fabricate and fit mechanical parts using a range of tools (turning, milling, welding, pipework etc.).
  • Complete maintenance records and ensure documentation is up to date.
  • Maintain a safe, tidy working environment in line with HACCP, BRC, ISO, and Health & Safety standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Bottling, Liquid Processing, NPD) to support production efficiency.
  • Support audits and project work as required, including occasional travel to other sites (e.g. Portlaoise).
  • Operate bottling line equipment occasionally as needed and support equipment trials and training/

A Bit About You

  • Time-served Mechanical, Automation & Maintenance Fitter (MAMF) with minimum 3 years' post-apprenticeship experience, ideally in a high-volume, highly automated manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge, with experience in machine repair, fabrication, and fault diagnosis.
  • Comfortable using a wide variety of tools and maintenance techniques.
  • Basic electrical experience is a plus.
  • Team player with solid communication skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Willingness to work on a 2-shift cycle and respond to on-site emergencies when needed.
  • Committed to maintaining high hygiene, safety, and quality standards.
