We are currently looking for a Collections Agent to join the Credit team. Languages required are Dutch or French. Our European Service Centre office is based in Swords, Dublin, offering a bright, modern and friendly atmosphere.

Do you have confidence when discussing late payments? Are you able to communicate clearly and concisely? The primary focus of this role is to collect monies owed to our business. This should be handled in a sensitive manner with the necessary skills.

We need a quick learner with a desire to deliver exceptional service levels, with an eye for detail and the ability to think and act independently.

The role: Taking the wheel at Hertz

As a Benelux Collections Agent, you will reduce and control the amount of overdue invoices in the portfolio of accounts assigned, as well as provide service excellence to customers by handling account queries regarding rental charges.

Responsibilities

• Work portfolio of outstanding invoices.
• Achieve the target set in terms of total cash received, including 60+, 90+ and 120+ receivables.
• Ensure customers comply with payment terms and settle overdue amounts each month.
• Use the BP (Business Planning) Server to stay up to date on portfolio statistics and collection performance, and for reporting on aging, exceeded credit limits and unapplied cash (on account payments).
• Recommend suspensions, re-activations and referrals to keep bad debt exposure to a minimum.
• Investigate and resolve incoming customer queries and complaints promptly to ensure customer satisfaction and no outstanding issues.

Requirements

• Fluency in Dutch or French and English (essential).
• Previous Credit Collections or Accounts Receivable experience is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Word and Excel is required.
• Good communication skills (ability to engage with management levels and customers) and a technical focus.
• Strong analytical skills (ability to create clear and effective reports).
• Decision-making ability (handle conflicting interests between collecting and refunding charges).
• Highly customer-service oriented with adherence to established guidelines and procedures.
• Highly organized with the ability to prioritize.
