is looking for best in class Fiber Engineers to help build one of the world's largest and most complex networks. Amazon Web Services is looking for a highly motivated, technically savvy Fiber Engineer to help develop and scale one of the world's largest and most complex networks.

Responsibilities

• Interface with internal (Data Center Engineering, Business Developers, Deployment Engineers, Tool Automation) and external stakeholders (Construction Vendors, Engineering Firms).
• Create engineering design and documents, single line drawings, cable routing, and splicing work packages in a GIS system.
• Ingest and audit GIS data for completeness and accuracy.
• Optimize processes to improve efficiency and delivery.
• Willing to travel 10% of the time.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in Fiber Engineering.
• 2+ years experience working in GIS Systems.
• 2+ years experience in project/program management with a proven ability to work effectively with all organizational levels.
• 2+ years of data, inventory, or records management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using GE Smallworld in GIS applications.
• BS or MS degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience in an IT-related field.
