This role focuses on delivering strategic, commercial and financial advice on infrastructure projects for government and public services, across sectors including transport, housing, utilities, digital, health and education.

Responsibilities- Provide strategic advice on approaches to the development, procurement and delivery of major infrastructure projects and contracts for the provision of critical government services across key areas (transport, housing, energy, utilities, education and health).
- critically review and develop business cases in accordance with infrastructure guidelines and the code of practice for the governance of semi-states.
- Provide commercial and financial advice on the procurement of major investment projects, including advising on tender and contract documentation, leading dialogue and negotiations with bidders, and evaluating tenders.
- Work on projects contributing to Ireland's National Development Plan, Climate Change targets and Sustainable Development Goals.
- Manage engagements and junior team members, ensuring a high standard of deliverables; maintain strong client relationships and responsive service.
- Ensure adherence to KPMG quality and risk management procedures; apply innovative and creative techniques to solve complex problems on client engagements.
- At least 5 years of experience with a background in providing strategic, commercial and financial advice on infrastructure capital projects and programmes.
- Experience developing feasibility studies and business cases for capital investment programmes in sectors such as transport, housing, utilities, digital, health and education.
- Experience providing supporting analysis for appraisal of capital investment programmes.
- Strong commercial and financial awareness; numerate with strong analytical skills; financial modelling skills are beneficial.
- Experience with Public Private Partnerships (PPPs) and knowledge of infrastructure guidelines (formerly Public Spending Code).
- Experience working with central government departments and agencies or local government.
- Ability to develop strong client relationships and work in multi-disciplinary teams.
