We are looking for an Afterschool Manager starting from late February 2025. Childcare qualification level 6-8 and experience in a similar role are essential.

The role will begin in February to include an overlapping period with the current manager and is a permanent position.
Afternoons 12.30 pm to 6.30 pm.

We require someone who is caring, patient, has good communication skills, and enjoys working with children.

We operate a breakfast club from 7.30 am to 9 am, four preschool classes from approximately 9 am to 12 pm, and four afterschool club rooms from 1.00 pm to 6.30 pm.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • An ability to organise, make good decisions, communicate effectively, problem solve, and delegate.
  • Ensure that the afterschool program complies with all regulatory requirements and the policies and procedures of the crèche.
  • Oversee the daily running of the afterschool program.
  • Monitor, maintain, and complete any reporting requirements on time.
  • Develop positive, warm, and professional relationships with families, children, and fellow educators.
  • Ensure rosters and staffing of the crèche are well organised.

The successful candidate must have

  • Be highly organised.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of NCS, Better Start, AIM, TUSLA, and childcare regulations.
